McKinney’s Lionettes completed a two-game District 15-4A soccer sweep over Greenville, blanking the Lady Lions 8-0 on a rainy and cold Friday night at T.A. “Cotton” Ford Stadium.

The schools canceled the junior varsity match and moved up the varsity contest because of the weather conditions.

McKinney had a 36-1 edge in shots as Greenville goalkeeper Katie Jones finished with 18 saves.

McKinney, now 12-0-1 for the season and 9-0 in district play, also beat Greenville 6-0 at McKinney on Jan. 15.

Greenville dropped to 2-11 for the season and 1-8 in district.

The Lady Lions are scheduled to play again at home on Tuesday night against Rockwall-Heath.
