Greenville’s Lady Lions squared their softball record at 3-3-1 with a 7-3 non-district victory over Caddo Mills on Tuesday night.

Ali Trower drove in three runs with two hits to lead Greenville, which also collected two hits each from Blanca Saavedra and Marty Williams. Williams scored two runs. Holly Patterson and Monica Sanchez also had hits for the Lady Lions.

Patterson finished with a two-hitter on the mound for Greenville, fanning 12 and walking five.

Lisa Westmoreland had a double and a single to lead the Lady Foxes, now 1-1 for the season.

“The weather like it is tonight (rainy, chilly and foggy), I didn’t know which team would show up,” said Greenville coach Frank Colvert. “But the team I wanted to show up showed up. They hit the ball hard.”

Caddo Mills won the junior varsity game 10-6.
