  The Greenville Lady Lions are tied with Lindale for the District 15-5A volleyball lead after spiking Sulphur Springs 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 26-24 on Friday.

  The Lady Lions are now 21-12 for the season and 3-0 in district, the same mark for Lindale.

  Greenville will continue district play tonight at Royse City, which is 0-3 in district play. The scheduled match times are at 5 p.m. for the freshman and junior varsity and 6:30 for the varsity.

  Jayde Sickels led the Lady Lions against Sulphur Springs with 18 kills. Brooke Hutchings and Kelsi McNair both put away eight kills.

  Sydney Walker set for 23 assists and Carley Cathey recorded eight assists.

  Sickels led in digs with 17, followed by MaCayla Bush with 13 and McNair and Walker with 11 each.

  Hutchings recorded a team-high seven blocks.

  Sickels served for a team-high five aces and Hutching served for four aces.

  Sulphur Springs won the freshman and junior varsity matches.

  Royse City dropped its match on Friday to Lindale, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21.
