Caddo Mills 71,
CADDO MILLS — Caddo Mills scored 41 points over the second and third quarters to put away Trenton for a 71-50 win on Tuesday. The Foxes remain undefeated at 5-0.
Desmond Brigham led Caddo Mills with 17 while Trenton’s Eric Medrano led all scorers with 22.
Casey McGregor and Eric Jeffery also scored in double figures for the Foxes.
Caddo Mills will be in action at the Bland tournament later this week.
Quinlan Ford 44,
Lone Oak (girls) 34
LONE OAK — Quinlan Ford outscored the Lady Buffaloes 15-5 in the decisive fourth quarter to win 44-34 on Tuesday.
Lone Oak, led by Heather Hoelting’s nine points, falls to 6-3 this season. Natalie Jenkins and Sarah Gantt each had eight points.
Lone Oak will compete in the Yantis tournament later this week.
Van Alstyne 46,
Bland (girls) 38
MERIT — Debbie Weber banked in 14 points to help Van Alstyne to a 46-38 victory over the Bland Lady Tigers on Tuesday night.
Megan Clark fired in 10 points to spark Bland, which also picked up eight each from Tori Johnson and Sarah Poe.
Van Alstyne 44
MERIT — Bland upped its season record to 6-1 with a 56-44 win over Van Alstyne on Tuesday night.
Ben Luckett paced Bland and all scorers with 24 points. John Mainord and Jacob Rainey both tossed in 10 points for Bland.
Jeff Mathews led Van Alstyne with 16 points.
BONHAM — Commerce relied on its defense for a 52-44 victory at Bonham on Tuesday night.
“We played pretty good defense,” said Commerce coach Lance Wright, whose Tigers improved to 2-1. “We finally played a little physical.”
Anthony Henry led Commerce with 16 points and Landon Wilson added 11.
Celeste (girls) 43,
CELESTE — Celeste’s No. 17 state-ranked Lady Devils improved their season record to 9-1 with a 43-27 victory over Boles on Tuesday night.
Candice Burden fired in 16 points to top Celeste, which also picked up eight points each from Alesha Evans and Jennifer Walker.
Sarah Duran and Whitney Ord both fired in 10 points to lead Boles.
CELESTE — Celeste jumped out to a 25-18 halftime lead and then held on for a 41-40 victory over the Boles Hornets on Tuesday night.
David Lakeman pumped in 12 points to lead the victorious Blue Devils. Allan Manzo added seven points.
Boles picked up 10 points each from Chris Arnwine, Ethan Foster and Nathan Muse.
