COMMERCE — The Caddo Mills Foxes broke in their new field turf with a 52-0 football victory over Edgewood on Friday night at Ed Locker Stadium.
The Foxes stayed undefeated for the season at 2-0 as they rolled 552 yards of offense while holding the Bulldogs to only 114 total yards.
Fox quarterback Tyler Townley went 14-of-24 passing for 322 yards and three touchdowns. Townley ran for 23 yards and two TDs. For the season so far, Townley has passed for 564 yards and five TDs and rushed for 88 yards and four scores.
Townley connected with six receivers against Edgwood. Jake Tumey caught three passes for 84 yards, with a 20-yard touchdown reception. Parker Higginbotham caught three passes for 76 yards, including a 56-yard TD strike. Gavyn Beane caught four passs for 44 yards, with a 34-yard TD. Jason Thomason snagged two passes for 64 yards. Austin Biggerstaff caught one pass for 32 yards. Caden Davis had one 22-yard reception.
The workhorse for the Bulldog offense was running back Jonathan Bennett, who ended up with 59 yards rushing on 23 carries.
Savion Neal led the Fox rushers with 57 yards on eight carries and one TD. Ryan Hammons ran for 34 yards on four carries but had a 94-yard TD run called back on a holding call.
Angus Aldridge ran four times for 46 yards and two TDs. Jason Thomason and Reese Payne each had one carry for 13 yards and 11 yards respectfully.
Edgewood fell to 1-1 on the season.
