Funeral services for Rose Franklin, 84, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Randy Seals and Rev. H. B. Nash officiating. Interment will follow at North Caney Cemetery, with Mrs. Franklin’s grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs..

Rose Franklin passed away at Carriage House Manor the afternoon of July 21, 2009.

She was born in Fannin County on Aug. 17, 1924, daughter of John Henry Harris and Lucinda (Campbell) Harris. She married Zebia Dee Franklin in Hopkins County on Aug. 14, 1943; he preceded her in death. Mrs. Franklin was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Heroines of Jerico.

Local survivors include two daughters, Ella Burns and Ida Beasley and husband, Leonard, all of Greenville.
