One person was killed and two people were injured Saturday morning during a two vehicle crash near Quinlan.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Kyle Bradford reported troopers were dispatched at approximately 11:50 a.m. to a major crash at State Highway 34 just south of Quinlan.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that a black motorcycle was traveling north on State Highway 34, when for an as of yet to be determined reason the driver drifted into the southbound lane striking a white Chevy pick-up truck head on,” Bradford said.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and passenger of the pick-up truck were transported to Hunt Regional of Quinlan with non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the deceased had not been made public as of 3 p.m. Saturday.
Bradford said the investigation was ongoing and no additional information was available at press time.
