LONE OAK — Two people were taken into custody, while a quantity pf methamphetamine and weapons were seized during a narcotics investigation.
The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office reported the department’s Tactical Teams joined with the Rains County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville Police Department in executing a search warrant at a residence in the 3700 block of FM 2649 in the Lone Oak area, the result of an investigation conducted by Hunt County Sheriff’s Office investigators who seized 1,750 grams of methamphetamine and 14 firearms from inside the residence.
The tactical teams also located children inside the residence and they were turned over to Child Protective Services at the scene. Two adults were arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance greater than one gram
April Lanae McMennamy, 32, and Curtis Leverl McMennamy, 34., both from Lone Oak, were being held in the Hunt County Detention Center Wednesday afternoon, in lieu of $100,000.00 bond each.
“I find it very troubling that these individuals were in possession of this dangerous drug and multiple firearms in the house with their children,” said Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks. “I am very grateful for the successful outcome to this raid and that no one was injured in the process. I would like to thank the Rains County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Police Department for their assistance in this case.”
