Six people were injured Tuesday morning during a multiple vehicle crash on south Wesley Street.
The Greenville Police Department received a report at 9:49 a.m. of a major accident in the 8900 block of Wesley Street.
Units from the police department, Greenville Fire-Rescue and Hunt County EMS responded to the scene and discovered four vehicles occupied by six people were involved in the crash.
The roadway was shut down in both directions as air and ground ambulances transported the patients.
Three people were transported by helicopter and three by ambulance.
The identities and conditions of the people injured had not been released as of press time Tuesday.
The portion of Wesley Street was shut down until mid afternoon Tuesday as officers investigated the crash.
No further information was immediately released.
