Ringing that bell!

The local Salvation Army is seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Red Kettle campaign, as well as donations to allow the agency to help hundreds of children and seniors in Hunt County to have a Merry Christmas.

• The Salvation Army Hunt County Service Center has spots available for volunteer Red Kettle bell ringers. Anyone interested can visit register to ring.com or contact the agency’s office in Greenville by calling 903-455-1875. The Salvation Army Hunt County Service Center is also signing up participants for the Red Kettle Corporate Match sponsorship program, where local businesses adopt specific Red Kettle locations for the day and pledge to match the donations collected.

• The agency has also set out Angel Trees, benefiting the Salvation Army Hunt County Service Center at multiple locations across Hunt County. There are more than 700 children and more than 100 seniors which are available for adoption this season. Angel Tree locations include Glen Oaks Hospital, 301 E. Division St. in Greenville; Healing Touch Homecare, 2304 Joe Ramsey Boulevard in Greenville; Raincross Storage, 2100 Traders Road in Greenville; Tugger Trailers, 1945 Interstate 30 West in Greenville; the Walmart in Commerce at 2701 State Highway 50; the Walmart in Greenville at 7401 Interstate 30; the Walmart in Quinlan at 8801 State Highway 34; and at the Salvation Army Hunt County Service Center, 4601 King St. in Greenville between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
