No one was hurt as a result of an emergency landing made by a light aircraft Wednesday afternoon, which Greenville city officials said was making training maneuvers earlier in the day at Majors Field, the City of Greenville Municipal Airport.

The aircraft ended up at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth.

Ty Helton, General Aviation Manager at Majors Field released a statement Thursday morning indicating the airplane conducted some touch and go training at the airport early Wednesday morning before it lost its landing gear, causing damage to the runway.

Dallas television stations reported the pilot of the aircraft, based out of Addison and chartered by Ameristar Jet Charter, Inc. flew several passes above Alliance Airport before making the emergency landing.

Helton said L3 made temporary repairs to the runway at Majors Field.
