A local man was killed in a two-vehicle Wednesday night crash along Interstate 30.
Bradley A. McManus, 41, of Greenville, was identified Thursday afternoon as the victim in the accident.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Kyle Bradford said Troopers were dispatched at approximately 8:29 p.m. to a major crash on Interstate 30 at FM 1565.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle was broken down in the left lane with a flat tire,” Bradford said. “Traffic began to back up and for an as yet to be determined reason a Nissan Murano struck the back of a Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
Bradford said McManus, the driver of the Nissan, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the sunroof. McManus was transported to Hunt Regional hospital in Greenville with serious injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
