The Herald-Banner learned the identities of several of the suspects that were involved in a pair of seemingly unrelated robberies that occurred overnight Wednesday in Commerce.
Commerce Police responded to a home invasion robbery on Bois d’Arc Street late in the night Tuesday and an armed robbery just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Village Creek Apartments on Live Oak Street.
One suspect in the home invasion robbery died after being transported to a Plano hospital after suffering a gunshot wound believed to have occurred during the robbery.
On Thursday, four suspects were shown in the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of Aggravated Robbery.
James Cadle, 19; Calvin Antonio Burnett, 23; Quincey Washington, 22; and Braxton Murphy, 22, of Mansfield show they were booked in to the Hunt County Detention Center on aggravated robbery charges. Cadle and Burnett were arrested by Commerce PD at around 4 a.m. Wednesday, Washington and Murphy were arrested together at around 8:30 p.m.
As of Thursday afternoon, all four were still shown in the Hunt County Detention Center.
Cadle and Burnett’s bonds were set at $100,000 while Washington and Murphy’s bonds were set at $175,000. Murphy also shows two misdemeanor assaults from A&M-Commerce University Police on his record.
It was not immediately clear which suspect was involved in which incident.
