A local law enforcement officer will be the benefactor of a fundraiser this weekend at the Hunt County Fairgrounds in Greenville.
A chili supper is the focus for the event, scheduled between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. A voluntary donation of $10 per person at the door is being asked for admission, with proceeds going to assist a Hunt County sheriff’s deputy who experienced a medical emergency while off-duty. The situation has required transportation via ambulance and a medical helicopter.
Funds raised during the supper will assist with medical expenses as well as time away from work.
In addition to the chili supper, there will also be bounce houses for kids and a corn hole tournament, the entry for which is $40 per team with a custom made corn hole board as the prize.
