The 11th anniversary Bras For The Cause, which is expected to surpass more than $1 million in the local effort to help raise awareness and prevention of breast cancer, officially begins its campaign tonight.

The kickoff party for the event, with the theme of “Hooray For Brallywood,” is scheduled starting at 6:30 p.m. at Landon Winery in downtown Greenville.

The 2019 Bras for the Cause Hunt County fundraiser will be Thursday, October 10 from 6 to 8:30 pm in Downtown Greenville.

The event benefits the Hunt Regional Healthcare Foundation. The “Hooray For Brallywood” design will be available on T-shirts beginning with tonight’s kickoff and at the October event.

Last year, the event raised more than $170,000, with every penny staying right in Hunt County.

More than 100 bras are entered each year, created by women and men, old and young, individuals and businesses. The rules are simple: design a bra using any materials and with any theme you desire.

The only requests are that the message and design are “G” rated and that the creations on display can be easily moved. Complete instructions and a list of the 2019 movie-related categories are available on the Bras for the Cause Hunt County website: B4TChuntcounty.com.

Anyone wishing to help with the event, become a sponsor, get started with a bra creation or anything else, contact Bras for the Cause  through its Facebook page: Bras for the Cause Hunt County, call or text at 903-456-2257, or email b4tchuntco@gmail.com.
