A local tradition which has spanned almost seven decades returns to attract bargain hunters next week.
The Greenville Kiwanis Club is again offering area residents an opportunity to bid on unusual and valuable items, with the proceeds going to benefit local children, during the 68th Annual Kiwanis Auction.
The beneficiaries of this years auction will be the Greenville ISD Band program as well as Greenville’s Suzuki Strings program.
The dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and the auction at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Career and Technology Center at Greenville High School. Donations will be accepted for the dinner, provided by the GHS Culinary Arts program.
Dozens of items will be up for sale to the highest bidder during the auction, all donated by local individuals and businesses.
