A local teenager who reportedly left from a Greenville-area treatment center earlier this month remained missing Wednesday afternoon.
Brian Cox, 16, of Greenville was last seen at the Thompson Residential Treatment Center, 1995 FM 1564, at around 4:30 p.m. on January 5 according to Sgt. Jeff Haines with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.
“He was last seen running from the location,” Haines said. “The staff filed a runaway report but did not have any information on where Brian may be headed.“
Haines said no additional information had come into the sheriff’s office concerning Cox’s disappearance as of Wednesday.
Cox is a white male, five feet and four inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes and may be in need of medical attention.
Anyone who may have information concerning Cox’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office at 903-453-6800 or their local law enforcement agency, or by calling 911, or 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST).
