Who knows exactly if it was due to it being Friday the 13th, with a full moon to boot, but law enforcement agencies across Hunt County appeared to be unusually busy Friday and into early Saturday morning, dealing with a variety of offenses, based on records of arrests from the Hunt County Detention Center.
Some two dozen people were arrested and/or booked into the facility. Among the more notable cases:
— Gerald Wayne Johnson Jr., 33, of Greenville, had already been taken into custody by the Greenville Police Department Thursday on a warrant for a federal offense. Friday morning he was also charged with one state-level charge each for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of between four ounces and five pounds of marijuana. Bond had not been set as of this morning on the federal charge, with $150,000 bond set on the remaining counts.
— Pamela Florene Timmons, 56, of McKinney, was arrested Friday afternoon by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an offense from 2017. Bond was set at $10,000.
— Noah Steven Tippit, 29, of Greenville, was arrested Friday afternoon by the Greenville Police Department on a charge from the ATF for possession of unregistered firearm/silencer. Bond had not been posted as of this morning.
— Tiffany Hampton Long, 41, of Caddo Mills was arrested Friday night by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $75,000.
— Darmon Lee, 30, of Las Vegas, Nev., was taken into custody early Saturday morning by the Department of Public Safety and was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance/Ecstasy, possession of a controlled substance/Adderall, possession of a controlled substance/Heroin and prohibited substance in a correctional facility. Lee Was being held in lieu of $232,500 bond Saturday morning.
