You think it's cold now?
The National Weather Service forecast is calling for much colder temperatures, and a chance of some frozen precipitation, before the week is out.
Another arctic cold front is due to arrive in the North Texas area late Tuesday, with the potential for some snow and/or sleet in the forecast between Thursday night and Saturday morning.
Tuesday's forecast is calling for sunny skies and a high near 50. Winds are expected to shift out of the north during the afternoon, with a low near 27 by Wednesday morning, and a high near 36 during the afternoon.
The winds Wednesday afternoon could gust as high as 30 mph, followed by a low around 18 degrees by Thursday morning and winds gusting as high as 20 mph.
Thursday's high is only forecast to reach 35 degrees, with a slight chance of rain and snow by late Thursday night or early Friday morning and a low around 25 degrees.
There is another slight chance of rain, snow and/or sleet between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, with a high near 37 Friday andlow around 28.
