This week’s heat wave and severe thunderstorms did nothing to relieve the workload of the Greenville Police Department.

Officers made 13 arrests between Tuesday morning and Wednesday night, were dispatched 153 calls and filed 33 reports.

Of those taken into custody, six people were arrested for outstanding warrants, two people each were arrested for driving while intoxicated and theft and one person each for public intoxication and driving while license suspended.
