Health and safety fair Saturday

GREENVILLE — Residents of the southern end of Hunt County have a chance to start the new year on a healthy note, thanks to the Quinlan Independent School District and the Lake Tawakoni Chamber of Commerce.

The agencies are sponsoring a health and safety fair Saturday at Ford High School, 10064 South Business Highway 34 in Quinlan.

There is free admission to the event, which starts at 9 a.m. and has activities planned for all ages, including health screenings, nutrition information, interactive displays, cooking demonstrations as well as health and safety information and demonstrations.

The health and safety fair will also feature child identification kits, poison prevention information, exercise advice and activities and more.
