GREENVILLE — Anyone looking for some Christmas-oriented activities should have no problem finding one as there are an assortment of parades, home tours, concerts and more on the calendar across the area during the next two weeks:
— City of Greenville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, with activities starting at 5:30 p.m. and the countdown at 6:30 p.m., 3000 Lee Street.
— The Commerce Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade starts at 7 p.m., following same route as Bois d’Arc Bash Parade.
— Trombonium Sinfonium concert at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City, 7 p.m., sponsored by the Wolfe City Public Library. Refreshments served following concert.
— Texas A&M University-Commerce Campus Activities Board annual Winter Wonderland, starting at 7 p.m. on the North Patio of the Rayburn Student Center, featuring carriage rides, carolers, arts and crafts.
— City of Greenville downtown Christmas parade, starting at 7 p.m. with pre-parade holiday music on the north steps of the Hunt County Courthouse starting at 6 p.m.
— Indoor Bazaar at Rains High School, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
— Brunch with Santa at the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum includes pancake breakfast, pictures with Santa, Christmas crafts and a children’s choir, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.
— Quinlan Christmas Parade, theme is “A Christmas Story,” 2 p.m.
— Royse City Christmas Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. on Main Street (State Highway 66). The highway will be closed beginning at 4:30 p.m.
— Park Street Wagon Rides begin at Park Street Baptist Church, 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person with a lap child free. The Park Street Lantern Parade also starts at the church at 5:30 p.m., although participants are asked to arrive at 5 p.m. to line up.
— The Caddo Mills Christmas Parade of Lights, sponsored by the Caddo Mills Lions Club, starts at 6 p.m. Entry forms are available at Caddo Mills City Hall. Those seeking information can call 903-527-3116, extension 104.
