Police looking for hit-and-run driver

GREENVILLE — Greenville police are looking for the driver involved in a serious hit-and-run accident this morning. Here are the details from the City of Greenville:

HIT AND RUN LEAVES ONE INJURED

On Sunday, November 18, 2012, a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian occurred on Jack Finney Blvd., just south of Joe Ramsey Blvd. The pedestrian, Daniel Lee Long of Lone Oak, was apparently crossing Jack Finney Blvd. when he was struck. Long was found lying in the road by a passer-by just after 10 a.m.

There are no known witnesses to the crash. Based on broken glass at the scene, the vehicle had tinted windows and will likely have damage to the left side. There is no other information on the vehicle. Officers with the Greenville Police Department investigating the incident were unable to obtain any video from nearby businesses that shows traffic on Jack Finney Blvd.

The victim sustained head injuries and injuries to his legs. The victim was not responsive, but was breathing. He was transported by AMR to the Air-Evac station at Majors Field Airport and flown to a Dallas hospital.
