Senior Center conducting online auction

GREENVILLE — While many of us are shopping for Christmas presents this weekend, one local agency which provides aid to elderly residents is hoping somebody might be interested in buying some of its surplus items.

Hunt County Senior Center Resources & Public Transit is conducting an online auction and is hoping to sell two used vans and a few stacks of tires.

The auction will continue through December 16 at auctioneerexpress.com.

Up for bid are a 2007 Dodge Caravan and a 2006 Dodge Caravan. Both vehicles are being sold “as is” and the 2006 model may need front brakes. As of Friday afternoon, the 2007 Caravan had received a top bid of $1,100 and the 2006 Caravan had received a bid of $1,050.

Also for sale are seven groups of used Firestone, Uniroyal and B.F. Goodrich tires which as of Friday had drawn bids from $11 to $15.

The items are available for inspection by appointment only at the Center, 4912 Lee Street in Greenville, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Anyone wanting more information can call the Center at 903-454-1444.
