Lunch as school bells ring

GREENVILLE — School bells have started ringing across Hunt County to start the fall semester.

Local business leaders will also get a chance next week to receive an education about what’s in store for the kids in the classroom.

Representatives from many of Hunt County’s schools intend to provide a lesson in the state of local education during the Quarterly Membership Luncheon of the Greenville Chamber Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The event, sponsored by Keep Greenville Beautiful, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 30 at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center in Greenville.

Cost for the event is $15 per person, with RSVP by August 28, or $20 on the day of the event, with a $3 processing fee for invoicing. Booths, which include one lunch, are available for $25.

Information and registration are available at www.greenvillechamber.com.
