Severe weather possible in area this afternoon

GREENVILLE — There is a potential for severe weather in our area  from late afternoon through early evening. The National Weather Service is indicating that the Red River Valley — including Fannin and Lamar counties — is included in the area of concern, where a slight chance of severe weather is in the forecast. The area along the Hunt/Fannin county line — which was hit during last Friday's round og severe weather — is also included. Large hail up to golfball size and damaging outflow winds are possible. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out. Elsewhere, isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible.
