With that in mind, the Herald-Banner is changing its print publication schedule. As of next week, the Herald-Banner will be available on newsstands and delivered to subscribers Tuesday through Sunday. We will no longer publish a Monday edition.
The Herald-Banner, of course, will continue to provide top-quality news and advertising on our website, www.heraldbanner.com, and via our many digital products including mobile apps for iPhone and Droid, and mobile text alerts.
Of course, we will continue to fill the print edition with stories and photos that give you up-to-date information, context and analysis about important issues; details about local happenings; and news about your neighbors.
These changes reflect the world around us. Like newspapers everywhere, we at the Herald-Banner must attune our work to the realities of our business and the demands of our readers and advertisers. Gone are the days when we printed the news once a day on paper, then put it in the hands of carriers who relayed it across the community. Today we’re on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to deliver information through a variety of methods.
The challenges of today’s media landscape are onerous — and exciting. Never before have we reached so many people — through our newspaper, digital products and specialty publications.
