A flying start to the Dog Days of Summer

GREENVILLE — Aviation enthusiasts are being invited to come celebrate the beginning of the summer this week with a four-day event at an airport south of Greenville.

Rockin’ M Airport (formerly Taylor Airport) is hosting the “Dogs Days of Summer Fly-In”, starting Thursday and continuing through June 23.

The airport is 10 miles south of Greenville, and three miles north of Quinlan at 6734 County Road 3511. Scheduled activities include karaoke, a bounce house, food and beverages.

Camping is available at the airport on a first come, first serve basis.
