Storms possible in area Friday, Friday night

GREENVILLE — It could be a wet Friday and Friday night for Greenville and Hunt County.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. and a high near 72 Friday afternoon.

There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night, with a low around 59.

There is a slight chance some of the rain could hang around Saturday morning, with a high near 74 expected during the afternoon.
