Cuffs, ladders and heroes

GREENVILLE — One week from today, members of local law enforcement will face off on the gridiron against area firefighters

The “Cuffs and Ladders” football game, pitting the Hunt County Sheriff’s Association against the Cash Fire Department, is scheduled next Saturday, September 7 following the inaugural “Meet The Heroes” event at Boles High School football stadium.

“Meet The Heroes” starts at 4 p.m., with “Cuffs and Ladders” set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

During “Meet The Heroes”, members of both departments will be demonstrating to families and children how their equipment works. “Cuffs and Ladders” will be a flag football game for the start is what is planned to be an annual, and friendly, rivalry.

The concession stand at stadium will be open, with refreshments available from the Boles High School Booster Club. Those attending the event will also be able to take a chance on winning several door prizes and can buy raffle tickets through halftime for a chance to win an AR-15 rifle.
