Today’s schedule at the Hunt County Fair features rabbits, pigs and goats in the livestock shows, as well as a night of live music.
The Fair will also be giving a break on admission today for some of the county’s heroes.
With the theme of “Building New Traditions”, the 2013 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show is being presented by Innovation First.
Market Fryers will be weighed-in starting at 7 a.m. The Market Fryer Shows starts at 8 a.m., followed by the Breeding Rabbit Show sponsored by the Celeste FFA Booster Club. The Market Swine Weight-In is scheduled between 9 and 11 a.m. today.
The gates, exhibit buildings and the midway open at 5 p.m., with 5:30 p.m. the deadline to enter the Breeding Swine Show. The deadline to enter the Breeding Junior Goat Show is at 6 p.m.
The Breeding Swine Show starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Junior Market Swine Show, sponsored by Mueller.
Cody Jinks takes the stage at the Bud Light Entertainment Center, followed at 8 p.m. by Mark McKinney.
The 2013 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show continues through Saturday.
Admission to the Fair is $8 for adults and $2 for kids.
Members of the military and first responders can get in to the Fair today for half-price, $4.
