Some of the biggest and best events of the 2013 Annual Hunt County Fair are on tap for today’s final day.
The Junior Livestock Auction Sale will be the center of attention in the show arena tonight, even as visitors take one final spin around the midway or check out the car show, exhibit buildings or Kid Zone.
And back to back to back live musical entertainment will close this year’s Fair.
Tonight’s auction will determine who will get to claim this year’s grand and reserve champion steers, hogs, lambs, goats, broilers and fryers.
The Creative Cooking contest will be judged in the Creative Arts Building starting at 2 p.m.; the gates, midway and exhibit buildings open at 5 p.m. and the Buyer’s Barbecue begins at 6 p.m. today. The auction starts at 7 p.m.
Jason Walton takes the stage at 6 p.m., Chad Sullins performs at 8:30 p.m. and Rick Trevino starts at 10 p.m.
The Kids Zone, sponsored by Discount Wheel and Tire, includes activities like The Great Bear Show, Bumper Boats, Bubble Runners, Swifty Swine Pig Races and the Texan’s Petting Zoo.
With the theme of “Building New Traditions”, the 2013 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show is being presented by Innovation First.
Admission to the Fair is $8 for adults and $2 for kids.
