One killed in Sunday accident

GREENVILLE — Services have been scheduled for a Wolfe City resident, killed in a Sunday morning accident in Hunt County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported Ashley Gayle Morris, 22, died in the one-vehicle crash.

Services for Morris are set Friday morning at Family Fellowship in Greenville. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

According to the DPS report, Morris was proceeding southbound on State Highway 11 at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday when the 2011 Honda Civic she was driving veered into the northbound lanes, then entered a bar ditch before striking a concrete culvert and several trees.

Morris was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Wayne Money.

The accident was still under investigation as of Monday morning.
