Suspects sought in Farmersville store robbery

FARMERSVILLE — The Farmersville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who held up a grocery store in the city Saturday morning.

On May 31 at 06:07 a.m. three unknown suspects committed a robbery of the Stop and Buy Grocery Store located at 316 Noth Main Street .

Two of three suspects entered the store. One suspect came behind the counter and physically struck the clerk to the ground and began to remove money from the safe.

As the suspect started to leave the store with the money, he again struck the clerk to the ground as she tried to get up. T

he second suspect also came behind the counter and removed a package of Marlboro reds cigarettes. Both suspects then exited the store. A third suspect who remained outside as a lookout fled the scene with the other two suspects as they fled in easterly direction.

The Farmersville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying these suspects. The public is encouraged to contact Sergeant Brian Alford or Detective Marsha Phillips at 972-784-7360.
