GREENVILLE — The buildings have been sold and removed and now the City of Greenville is wanting to sell off the land.

The city is currently seeking proposals for the sale of the lot at 3011 St. John Street which once housed a warehouse for the Water Utilities Department.

Sealed proposals are being accepted by the City of Greenville Finance Department, 2821 Washington Street, through 3 p.m. January 30. After the deadline, the proposals will be opened and made public. The property is being sold as is.

Two years ago, the city put the building which once stood on the lot up for sale through an online auction, which only drew a handful of bids.

The quonset hut style structure had been abandoned for some time and was 45 feet wide by 100 feet long and was 25 feet high. The auction also included the shed next to the building. The winning bidder was responsible for removing the structures from the property.
