Suspect sought in armed robbery of convenience store

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Police Department is seeking a suspect in connection with the reported armed robbery of a local convenience store.

Officers responded at around 1:25 p.m. today to the R&K Mart, 3805 Lee Street. A white male, 20-30 years old, 5’8” tall, with a “skinny” build,  was said to have entered the store with a rifle, displayed the firearm and demanded cash.  The clerk complied and the suspect left with the money.

According to witness accounts, the suspect is believed to have entered a rust colored, square, 4- door vehicle operated by a female and fled eastbound on Lee Street.  No injuries were reported.
