WEST — A fertilizer plant in West, Texas, exploded Wednesday night, shooting smoke high into the evening sky. While information is still preliminary at this point, there have been reports from multiple news agencies of dozens of injuries and damage to multiple buildings. The American Red Cross has sent in emergency responders from across the state, and a local high school football field is being used as a staging area. Injured residents are being transported to hospitals in Waco.
