— It sure felt a lot more like spring than winter in Greenville Monday.

But winter is expected to return to North Texas today, before it gets warmer for another day, before another arctic blast arrives for the end of the work week.

The temperature at Majors Field Airport reached 70 degrees Monday, under sunny skies and light southerly winds. The National Weather Service forecast was calling for winds to return out of the north today, with gusts as high as 25 mph and a high of 47 degrees this afternoon.

It is expected to dip down to the upper 20s overnight, as the winds shift back out of the south, with a high back around 56 degrees Wednesday.

Another major front blows into the region Thursday, with north winds gusting as high as 30 mph and a high of only 38 degrees.

As of Monday evening no precipitation, frozen or otherwise, had been included in the forecast for the rest of the week.
