Trial is scheduled to start this week for a Hunt County man, charged with intoxication assault for allegedly being behind the wheel during an August 2012 accident in which three people were injured.
Blaine Keeton Moody, 19, of Campbell, received one indictment from the Hunt County grand jury with three counts of intoxication assault with a deadly weapon. He has pleaded not guilty.
Jury selection was set today in the 354th District Court.
Moody was alleged in the indictment to have been driving while intoxicated on Aug. 1, 2012 during an accident in which the vehicle crashed into a tree. Two women and one man were reported injured in the accident.
Intoxication assault is a third degree felony, punishable upon conviction by a maximum sentence of from two to 10 years in prison and an optional fine of up to $10,000.
