Wet today, wet and cold Wednesday

GREENVILLE — More rain is on the way, and it will feel a lot more like winter on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for a 90 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon, with a high near 70.

There is an 80 percent chance of showers overnight, with a low around 46 and winds out of the east northeast with gusts as high as 25 mph.

There is a 70 percent chance of showers Wednesday, with the temperature rising to near 48 by 10 a.m., then falling to around 44 during the remainder of the day. And northeast winds with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Showers are also likely Wednesday night, with a low around 41 and north northeast winds, until midnight at least, gusting as high as 25 mph.
