Seeing double at Fair tonight

GREENVILLE — Visitors to the 2013 Hunt County Fair may be seeing double — or even triple — tonight, during the popular Twins Contest.

It is also Senior Citizens Night, when visitors 65 and older get in for a half-price admission of $4.

The Hunt and Surrounding Counties Parents of Multiples organization is presenting the Twins Contest, starting at 6 p.m. Those wanting additional information can contact Nikki Young by email at nyoung@geusnet.com.

Registration and paper check for the Open Beef Show is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. today, with the gates, exhibit buildings and midway opening up at 5 p.m.

The Open All Beef Other Show starts at 6 p.m., the same time as Kyle Bennett begins the evening’s live music entertainment on the Bud Light Stage, followed by The Damn Quails at 8:30 p.m.

With the theme of “Building New Traditions”, the 2013 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show, presented by Innovation First, continues through Saturday.

Admission to the Fair is $8 for adults and $2 for kids.

Additional information about this year’s Fair is available at www.huntcountyfair.net or at the newspaper’s web site at heraldbanner.com.
