The Greenville Lions and Greenville Lady Lions will be hosting a couple of other basketball teams from Wylie tonight at the Lions Den.
This time the Wylie East Raiders and Lady Raiders will take on Greenville.
The junior varsity game starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity girls at 6:30 and the varsity boys at 8.
Greenville’s Lions are coming off a 73-54 loss to the Wylie Pirates on Tuesday. Dartannon Wilson led Greenville with 20 points, while teammate Collen Wilburn pumped in 13.
Greenville is now 13-14 for the season and 2-6 in district play.
Wylie East, now 3-19 and 2-6, dropped its last game 65-56 to Sherman on Tuesday. Justin Roper fired in 23 points to lead the Raiders, while Henry Dues added eight and Jordan Wyatt tallied seven.
The Greenville Lady Lions are 12-12 and 2-8 following a 50-29 loss to the Lady Pirates on Tuesday. Mackenzie Cooper led Greenville with 13 points, while Raven Pippen added eight.
Wylie East, 10-18 and 2-7, lost 78-76 in overtime to Sherman on Tuesday. Emily Hartegan fired in 26 to led the Lady Raiders, Jordan Roper pumped in 18, while Raven Moore and Jazmin Shields tallied 10.
After this contest the Lady Lions only have one more home game remaining on Feb. 1 against Denison. The Lions have two home games left after this one.
