Boles beats Lindsay in area round

BELLS —   Hunter Jordan pumped in 30 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer to lead the Boles Hornets to a 56-54 Class A Division I area basketball playoff win over Lindsay on Thursday.

  Jordan helped the Hornets rally from a 20-8 deficit as they outscored the Knights 19-9 in the final period.

  “We overcame adversity and that first quarter deficit,” said Boles coach Stephen Wilson.

Cameron Walker also pumped in 10 points and Caleb Samples added six, plus played some strong defense in the final seconds to turn Lindsay away.

  Lyndon Cook led Lindsay with 26 points and Zach Milnar added 13.

  The 22-7 Hornets will advance to the regional quarterfinals to face the winner of tonight’s area playoff between Collinsville and Trenton.
