Celeste goes to 7-2 in district play

TRENTON —   The Celeste Lady Devils raised their District 15-A record to 7-2 with a 55-40 win on Saturday over Trenton.

  Jalisa Phillips and Sarah Myers both fired in 14 points to lead the Lady Devils, who also collected 10 from Rachel Myers.

  Bria Green led Trenton and all scorers with 21 points.

Quinlan (girls) 41,

Crandall 34

  CRANDALL — Quinlan Ford’s Lady Panthers reached the 20-win mark for the season with a 41-34 District 14-3A victory over Crandall on Friday.

  Carley Torbert led the 20-4 Lady Panhters with 16 points and Jesseca Keeton added 11.

  Ford remained undefeated in District 14-3A play at 4-0 while handing Crandall its first loss.

Rains 26

  WILLS POINT — Wills Point handed the visiting Rains Wildcats a 51-26 District 14-3A loss on Friday.

  Joseph Richardson led Rains with eight points.

GCS 28

  GARLAND — Garland Christian jumped out to a 13-0 lead and then moved on to a 60-28 district win over the Greenville Christian School Eagles on Friday.

  Andy Henderson led GCS with 12 points.
