GCS cagers fall to Rockwall Christian

GCS (girls) 31

  ROWLETT — Rockwall Christian Academy jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter and hung on for a 41-31 TAPPS District 3-2A win over the Greenville Christian School Lady Eagles on Friday.

  Ashlee Poland led the victors and all scorers with 14 points.

  Sophie Wimberley paced GCS with eight points.

  ROWLETT — Rockwall Christian Academy outscored Greenville Christian School 70-33 in TAPPS District 3-2A play on Friday.

  Andy Henderson led GCS with 12 points and Will Martens added 10.

Campbell (girls) 59,

Trinidad 22

  TRINIDAD — Haley Davidson fired in 34 points to spark the Campbell Lady Indians to a 59-22 District 23-A victory over Trinidad on Friday.

  Davidson scored 21 points in the first quarter as Campbell built a 27-8 lead.

  Campbell stayed undefeated in district play at 3-0.

  TRINIDAD — Trinidad grabbed the lead with a 15-8 advantage in the first quarter and then hung on for a 48-45 District 23-A victory over the Campbell Indians on Friday.

  Jose Romero led Campbell with 22 points. Dallas Degarso was next for  the Indians with nine points.
