Wolfe City downs Cumby

CUMBY —   Colton Quirl pumped in 23 points to help the Wolfe City Wolves to a 56-32 District 15-A win over Cumby on Saturday.

  Malik Gaffney fired in 12 points and Justin Wilkinson added 11 as the Wolves squared their district record at 2-2.

  Noah Dyer led Cumby with 14 points and Travis Taylor chipped in 10.

  MERIT — The Bland Tigers improved to 11-2 for the season with a 48-40 win over Sam Rayburn on Saturday.

  Glen Quezada led the Tigers with 14 points and Chris Brown added 11 as Bland upped its District 15-A record to 2-1.

  MERIT — Sam Rayburn outscored Bland 17-8 in the fourth quarter to take a 42-33 District 15-A win over the Lady Tigers on Tuesday.

  Savannah Brixey led Bland with 14 points.
