Wolfe City downs Roxton

WOLFE CITY Wolfe City improved its district volleyball record to 5-3 with a 25-14, 25-21, 27-25 victory over Roxton on Tuesday night.

Wolfe City jumped out to a fast start, scoring the match’s first nine points.

Lindsey Wilkinson led the Lady Wolves with 15 kills, while Miranda Dugger put away five kills, Ali Cupp had three and Kelly Madrigal and Kealey Gaffney both put away two kills.

A.J. Lake led Wolfe City with 23 assists and five aces. Gaffney and Cupp both served for four aces.

Gaffney led the Lady Wolves’ defense with 10 digs, Stephanie Young had five and Wilkinson four.

Wolfe City travels to Simms on Friday to take on James Bowie.
