Day wins race to claim fifth feature of season

Bo Day kept the Limited Modified feature race all in the family with a victory on Saturday night at the Super Bowl Speedway.

Day beat Ken Miller and his father Jimmy Day to the finish to win his fifth feature of the season at the Super Bowl. Jeff Day, Bo’s uncle, has won four features this season and Jimmy Day has claimed one.

Tommy Davis, Jr., is the only non-Day driver to win a Limited Modfied feature this season, winning on April 26.

Caddo Mills driver Wayne Melton captured the Super Stocks’ feature as Terry Pritchett was second and Brian Orr ran third.

Brian McHenry of Quinlan won the Bombers’ feature. Larry Wesson was second and Randall Cunningham wound up third.

McKinney driver Jared Webb captured the Southern Modifieds’ feature. Bobby Malchus was second and Victor Keeling captured third.

Johnny Welborn of Princeton won the Mini-Stocks’ feature. Jason Riddle finished second and Bobby Parker finished third.

Heath driver Cody Nichols won the Junior Mini-Stocks’ feature. Zachary Crawford was second.

The Super Bowl will hold a regular race night on Saturday with the gates opening at 6 and racing starting at 8. The dirt oval is five miles south of Greenville on Farm Road 1903.
