North East Texas Stampede scheduled for this weekend

GREENVILLE — The Hunt County Fairgrounds will play host to a professional rodeo this weekend.

The fairgrounds arena will be the site today and Saturday of the seventh annual Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) North East Texas Stampede Rodeo, sponsored by Greenville Chrysler and other area businesses.

Events begin at 7 p.m. each evening, with mutton bustin’, mini bull riding and other activities. The PRCA Rodeo gets under way one hour later. Rodeo queen and princess contests are also scheduled.

Adult tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Children’s tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the gate and are available at Greenville Chrysler/Dodge, Cavender’s Boot City, Kwik Kar Auto Spa, Kwik Kar Lube & Tune, Giggles & Grins, the Quality Inn, Hunt County Farm Supply or at the gate on rodeo nights.
