Wills Point driver breaks up winning streak at speedway

Wills Point driver Tommy Davis, Jr., broke up a string of Day winners in the Limited Modified class with his victory in Saturday’s feature at the Super Bowl Speedway.
Either Jeff Day or his nephew Bo Day had won the previous seven features. Jeff Day was second in the feature and Bo Day finished third.
Greenville driver Brandon King claimed the Bombers’ feature for the second straight week. Derick Harris of Farmersville was second and Brian McHenry from Quinlan finished third.
Wayne Melton of Caddo Mills won the Super Stocks’ feature, beating Greenville’s Benji Killian and Allen Fortner from Richardson.
Princeton’s Wesley Veal won the Southern Modifieds’ feature as Jared Webb was second and Donnie Shipp finished third.
Dallas driver Bobby Parker captured the Mini Stock A-main. Rusty Green ran second and Jason Riddle was third.
Dakota Raines from Wills Point drove to victory in the Junior Mini-Stocks’ feature. Little James Bentle was second.
The Super Bowl holds dirt track oval races on Saturdays with the gates opening at 6 p.m. and racing starting at 8. The Super Bowl also holds playdays on Wednesdays from 6 to 9:45 p.m. The track is five miles south of Greenville on Farm Road 1903.
